Daniel J. Bergeson Co-Chairs The Annual ABTL Seminar
The Association of Business Trial Lawyers (ABTL) hosted its Annual Seminar October 1 through 4 at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. Daniel J. Bergeson co-chaired the event with Bruce Ericson of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP.
The seminar’s theme was “A Digital World Confronts An Analog Profession,” focusing on the demands placed on business trial lawyers by a business environment that is increasingly digital and audiences that couple ever-shorter attention spans with a dislike of passive listening. Several panels covered the various topics ranging from litigation funding to predictive coding.
Above the Law captured the highlights of the litigation funding presentation in its article “ABTL 2015: Litigation Finance is Here to Stay.” The presentation “Show Me The Money” was organized by Daniel J. Bergeson and featured Judges Robert Freedman and James Kleinberg (Ret.), and Peter Benzian, Allison Chock, Tim Scott, and Boaz Weinstein. The Panel provided the audience with an informative and interactive presentation on litigation funding.
